Here are two examples of the types of Leadership Development
Assignments we have recently taken on:

#1 Emerging Central Indiana City
The first is with an emerging Central Indiana City.  For this organization we developed a year-long Leadership Academy which involved two-hour meetings bi-monthly for 12 months.  At the onset of the design work on this Leadership Academy we worked with the city leaders to co-create outcome “Success Measures”.

We then continued with organizational and individual assessment initiatives that lead to Developmental Improvement Plans for each individual leader and organizational division.  Lastly, support and reinforcement of the key “take-a-ways” and primary performance indicators linked to high performance will take place.

Leadership Development tools and processes that are part of this program include:

  • Structured Learning Activities
  • Case Studies and Simulations
  • Games and Group Participation
  • Assigned “abstract” readings
  • Mentors and “accountability” partners
  • Organizational Culture Inventory
  • Individual Lifestyle Inventory
  • Leadership Practices Inventory
  • Extended DISC Personal Profile
  • Extended DISC Leadership Profile
  • Conflict Resolution Assessment
  • Emotional Intelligence Assessment
  • Team Analysis Report

#2 High-Tech Indianapolis-based firm
Our work with an Indianapolis-based high-tech division with 90 associates and five Lead Managers is the second example. With this Leadership Program, which extends over 6 months, we used our trademarked FOCUSED, SOLUTION-BASED COACHING™.

This model maximizes the use of Positive Psychology and Affirmative Inquiry to identify and build upon “what is working right” and to then design a results-oriented future which embraces those Success Factors.  Our name for the four steps of our FOCUSED, SOLUTION-BASED COACHING™ is SOAR which stands for:

  1. S — Solution & Scaling
What solution or outcome are you seeking to accomplish?
On a scale from 1-10 where are you now?
  2. 0 — Options & Opportunities
What options do you have that might lead to these outcomes?
What opportunities and other possibilities should you consider?
  3. A — Affirm and Action
What are you already “doing right” that will help you reach your goal?
What actions do you need to take now to get started?
  4. R — Resources & Resolve
What resources do you have that will help you reach your goal?
What are you resolved to do now and in the coming weeks?

This program also used many of the Leadership Development tools and processes listed above.
